Jayhawks Seek Improvement After First Tournaments of the Season

SYRACUSE, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) golf team stumbled out of the gate in their first pair of tournaments of the 2025 season. JCC took eighth in the Tompkins Cortland Community College Invite on Friday, followed by a ninth at the Onondaga Community College Invite on Saturday. 

On Friday, Jamestown was led by their lone sophomore, Dan Towell, who shot a 94. He was the only Jayhawk to break into double digits for the day. Overall, JCC shot a 434 to finish in eighth.

Turning to Saturday, freshman Cole Johnson set the pace for JCC, shooting a 97. He was the solo Jayhawk to post a cost less than 100. Overall, JCC shot a 422 to improve from Friday but finished the event in ninth.

The Jayhawks have a few days to clean things up as they return to the course on Thursday, April 17th, at Butler County Community College.
