Jayhawk Wrestling Performs Well at Garrett Quad

McHENRY, MD - Jamestown Community College (JCC) wrestling had a solid showing at the Garrett Quad on Sunday morning, going 8-3 as a team.

The Jayhawks were led by sophomore Ryan Parton, who went 3-1 for the day. One of his wins included a 15-0 tech fall; his lone loss came in a 12-10 decision.

Nicholas Ewan finished 2-1, with the nail-biting performance of the day, topping Garrett College's Brooks Smith by a 1-0 final.

Christian Hernandez only had one match, but he made the best of it with a pin at the 4:28 mark.

Lastly, Brad Smith also went 2-1. His victories came in a 4-3 decision and a stoppage at 1:25.

The Jayhawks have almost two weeks off before they host the Jamestown Quad on Saturday, January 25th, at 4:00 PM.
