JCC Volunteer Wrestling Coach Siobhan Dowdall Wins BJJ Tournament
FREDONIA, NY - Jamestown Community College's (JCC) volunteer wrestling coach Siobhan Dowdall recently participated in the Norman Yonkers Grappling Championship, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) tournament held in Fredonia, New York.

Coach Dowdall captured first place in the No-Gi intermediate welterweight/heavyweight division.

Despite being a white belt and starting the sport of BJJ in May, she also participated in the No-Gi Absolute division, where she battled several black belts. Dowdall earned a second-place finish in that open division.

"It was cool to compete and see I was able to still hold my own at my age," said Dowdall of her accomplishments.
