Jayhawks Add Six More Honorable Mention All-Americans

Fort Pierce, Fla. - On the third day of the NJCAA Swimming & Diving National Championships, the Jamestown Community College women's swimming & diving team added six more Honorable Mention All-American honors to their team total of the week.

 

Shannen Stein (Olean, NY/Portville HS) placed ninth in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:09.78, a new personal best. Jade Vidas (Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa/Parktown HS for Girls) finished right behind Stein with a time of 1:16.22, also a new personal best.

 

Kaylee Constantino (Frewsburg, NY/Frewsburg HS) placed ninth in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.65.

 

Tia Moppert (Gowanda, NY/Gowanda HS) was the final Jayhawk to earn Honorable Mention All-American honors, placing 11th in the 100 yard IM with a time of 1:07.72.

 

The team of Stein, Constantino, Vidas, and Moppert placed fifth in the 200 yard medley relay, posting a time of 2:01.21.

 

As a team, the Jayhawks are in fifth place with 197 points, leading Region 3 foe Genesee Community College by 30 points.

 

JCC will be back in action tomorrow morning for the fourth and final day starting at 9:30 a.m.
