JAMESTOWN, NY - Jamestown Community College's Kodi Colton (Little Valley, NY / Cattaraugus Little Valley Central School) has committed to continuing his academic and athletic careers at Alfred State.
Colton pitched in 14 games for the Jayhawks, including seven as a sophomore, where he had 9.82 striketous per nine innings and a 3.55 WHIP (walks and hits per inning pitched).
The Little Valley native plans to study Business and HVAC, "I chose Alfred State because they had majors I am interested in. When I started to explore the school the baseball coach contacted me about playing, so it was a perfect match," said Colton.
The reliever believes JCC has prepared him for this moment in his life, "I've understood more about timing and how to get things done when I can," he mentioned. "I know what to expect on a team and how to work hard to have success," added Colton.
Kodi's favorite memory as a Jayhawk was watching the eclipse with his Jayhawk teammates.
Colton and the Pioneers start fall ball in the coming weeks.
