JCC's Troy Moussette Continues his Baseball Career at Kentucky Christian University

JAMESTOWN, NY -  Jamestown Community College's (JCC) Troy Moussette (Centereach, NY / Newfield HS) is advancing his collegiate and athletic career at Kentucky Christian University (KCU) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

"I chose Kentucky Christian University because it aligns with my faith, which was a huge factor in my day-to-day life growing up religious. As well as being able to continue my plan to become a physical education teacher as well as continue to play the game I've loved since I was a kid," said Moussette.

Moussette had 18 mound appearances over his Jayhawk career with six starts and 29 strikeouts.

"JCC baseball prepared me for this move by allowing me to be myself and play with confidence through the great coaching staff and surrounding teammates I had," added Moussette.

In the classroom, Troy plans to major in physical education, something he worked towards during his time as a Jayhawk.

"JCC prepared me for this next step by allowing me to develop and mature in the classroom and on the field," mentioned Moussette.

When you're known as "Meatball" by your teammates, you're sure to have some special moments in the green and gold.

"My best memories as a Jayhawk had to be in the dorms, whether it was just sitting around talking to my teammates about what was going on and messing around, or me and Lucas Marsh beating Logan Grinols and Chris Gable in Madden every time we played," laughed Moussette.

Those bonds weren't limited to the dorms.

"The thing I'll miss most about JCC is the everyday practices, no matter what time they were, as well as how close-knit of a group we were for my 3 years and the relationships I had with my coaches, which made being away from home a lot easier. I'll always hold my time in Jamestown close to the heart," Troy mentioned.

Moussette and the rest of the Knights will be on campus in August.
