BUFFALO — The Jamestown Community College men's basketball team suffered its fourth loss in its last five games, falling to Erie CC, 87-73, in an NJCAA Region 3 Division II game at the Flickinger Center on Wednesday night.

"We got it to within four in the second half, and then it got away from us a little bit," said Jamestown CC coach George Sisson.

He continued: "We had 21 turnovers in the game to their 14, and that was a big deal, because a lot of those led directly to points."

Kasey Walker-Gregg led a balanced scoring attack for the Kats with 16 points. Mohamed Diakite added 11 points, Kyle Harris and Winston Beato Jr. both had 10 and Shakur Harris, Shevon Anisca and Pedro Marquez each had nine. Kyle Harris also grabbed 10 rebounds.

D.J. Branch tallied a game-high 19 points, connecting on 5 of 7 attempts from beyond the arc, to pace the Jayhawks, while Kenny Pitt chipped in with 18 points and Sherman native Chris Robson added a career-high 15 points on 5 of 8 shooting from deep. Pitt also hauled down 10 rebounds.

"That's probably the best we've shot from the perimeter all season," said Sisson.

The loss dropped Jamestown CC's record to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in Region 3 Division II. The Jayhawks will be back in action Monday when they travel to Pitt-Titusville. Opening tip is at 7 p.m.
