Jayhawks Post Personal Bests in WNYAC Meet

JAMESTOWN – In their first Western New York Athletic Conference meet of the season, the Jamestown Community College men's swimming & diving team posted a 1-2 record Wednesday evening.

 

The Jayhawks (1-3, 1-2 WNYAC) defeated Erie CC 55-34, while falling to Monroe CC 34-113, and Erie CC 44-95.

 

Leading the way for JCC was Colby Pantall (Jamestown, NY/Maple Grove HS) with two top-three finishes. Pantall placed second in the 550 yard freestyle with a time of 6:03.81, a new personal best. Pantall also placed third in the 1000 yard freestyle, posting a time of 12:44.17 which was also a personal best.

 

Tshepiso Ntuli (Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa/Pretoria Boys HS) also had another solid day in the pool, finishing with two top-five finishes. Ntuli placed second in the 100 yard IM with a time of 1:08.72. In the 50 yard freestyle, Ntuli finished with a time of 26.11, a new personal best.

 

Cole Carlson (Boonsboro, MD/Southwestern High) also had one top-five finish, placing fourth in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 55.23.

 

The Jayhawks will be back in action this Saturday, November 20th, as they travel to the Herkimer College Invitational. Meet set to start at 1 p.m.
