Multiple Jayhawks Post Personal Bests at the JCC December Invitational

JAMESTOWN - The Jamestown Community College men's swimming & diving team placed third at the JCC December Invitational, finishing with 149 points.

 

The Jayhawks were paced by Tshepiso Ntuli (Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa/Pretoria Boys HS) had a pair of second place finishes in the 50 yard butterfly (27.86) and 100 yard IM (1:06.50). Ntuli's time in the 100 yard IM is a new school record, passing teammate Matthew Fennell who posted the mark last season. Ntuli also placed third in the 50 yard breaststroke (32.37).

 

Cole Carlson (Boonsboro, MD/Southwestern High) had a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 2:07.23, a new personal best. Carlson also placed third in the 100 yard freestyle, posting a new personal best with 54.31.

 

Colby Pantall (Jamestown, NY/Maple Grove HS) had a career day, posting new personal bests in the 1650 yard freestyle (21:24.95) and in the 100 yard freestyle (57.38).

 

Matthew Fennell (Fourways Garden, Johannesburg, South Africa/King Edwards VII School) set a new perosnal best in the 100 yard IM with the time with 1:06.98. Fennell also posted a personal best in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 26.36.

 

The Jayhawks will wrap up the 2021 portion of their schedule next Saturday, December 11th, as they travel to the University of Pitt-Bradford for a dual starting at 1:00 p.m.
