Jayhawks Place Third in the JCC January Invitaional

JAMESTOWN - In their last swim meet at home this season, the Jamestown Community College men's swimming & diving team placed third in the JCC January Invitational.

 

Joseph Keyser had a strong showing for the Jayhawks in his season debut, finishing with a pair of second place finishes on the afternoon. Keyser posted a time of 25.35 in the 50 yard freestyle and 31.60 in the 50 yard backstroke.

 

Cole Carlson (Boonsboro, MD/Southwestern High) posted a new personal record in the 200 yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 2:07.13.

 

Colby Pantall (Jamestown, NY/Maple Grove HS) had a big day in the pool, posting a personal record in the 1000 yard freestyle. Pantall shaved 27 seconds off his time in the 1000 yard freestyle with a new time of 12:08.15.

 

The team of Pantall, Carlson, Keyser, and Jackson Vanstrom (Jamestown, NY/Southwestern High) finished the day in the 200 yard freestyle relay, posting a time of 1:43.22.

 

The Jayhawks will be back in action next Wednesday, January 19th, as they travel to Erie Community College for their final WNYAC meet of the season.
