Jayhawks Used Strong Fourth Quarter in 75-67 Win over Lakeland

KIRTLAND, Ohio - Starting the first game of a five-game road trip, the Jamestown Community College women's basketball team defeated Lakeland Community College, 75-67 Wednesday evening.

 

The Jayhawks (2-3) were paced by forward Hannah Hicks (Cleveland, OH/Cleveland Heights) with 23 points with guard D'Auzhanay Harden (Erie, PA/Erie HS) adding 21 points on the night. Guard Jessica Beehler (Dunkirk, NY/Dunkirk HS) chipped in with 17 points in the effort.

 

On the glass, Hicks grabbed nine rebounds (5 offense, 4 defense) with guard Kymi Nance finishing with eight rebounds (4 offense, 4 defense). Hicks also added four steals and three blocks in an all-around performance on the night.

 

JCC used a 25 point fourth quarter to gain the lead down the stretch and secure the win.

 

The Jayhawks will continue their road trip as they travel to CCBC Catonsville this Friday, November 19th, for a 6 p.m. tip.
