Hi, I'm Kenya, a freshman member of the Jayhawks women's soccer team.  My academic major is in Human Services, and I have always enjoyed this area of study.  Upon graduating from that program at JCC, I plan on transferring to either SUNY Fredonia or SUNY Brockport to finish my degree.  My athletic career includes playing soccer and basketball for the Bulldogs of Brocton in high school.  I enjoyed myself greatly with these activities and was an asset to the team as well.  The athlete I enjoy watching the most is Tobin Heath; she is an American professional soccer player and two-time Olympic gold medalist.  I am very passionate about soccer, and I look forward to contributing to the team here at Jamestown Community College.

Q: What attracted you to JCC Athletics?
I wasn't going to play soccer in college but then I met Coach Shelters and I decided to play.

Q: Why the soccer team?
I love soccer and I've played it my whole life.

Q: What do you enjoy the most about college athletics?
I like college athletics because everyone loves to play the sport and you can tell that on and off the field.

Q: What are your personal goals for the rest of the season?
My goals are to help the team win and to always play my hardest and never give up.

Q: Where do you see yourself in the future?
In the future I see myself somewhere in the field of law enforcement.

Q: Any advice for aspiring athletes?
My advice is to never give up and try your hardest in practices, games, and in the classroom.

Other sports?
Growing up I played basketball and soccer.
