ROCHESTER - The Jamestown Community College women's soccer team fell to DI Monroe Community College Wednesday afternoon, 9-0.
The Tribunes gained a 7-0 advantage in the first half but the Jayhawks (2-5, 0-2 WNYAC) defense tightened up in the second half to limit MCC's shot opportunities.
Freshman goalkeeper Lizzie Gordon (Corry, PA/Corry Area HS) earned the loss in net, making six saves in 55 minutes of action. Sophomore Hannah Sholl (Jamestown, NY/Southwestern High) went the rest of the way in net in the second half, making two saves on the afternoon.
JCC will be back in action next Monday, September 27th, as they travel to Lorain County Community College for a 2 p.m. start. This will be the team's second of four straight games on the road.
