JAMESTOWN, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) women's soccer team went ten days since they last took the pitch, and the practice paid off in a big way as they earned their first win of the season, a 10-0 defeat of Tompkins Courtland Community College.
The ten goals by JCC were the most scored by the ladies since October of 2017.
Jamestown found the back of the net early and often, with Amara Pacheco breaking through first in the fifth minute off of a feed from Teagan Kosinski.
Pacheco finished the day with a hat trick for the Jayhakws.
The duo connected again in the 14th minute, but this time it was Pacheco feeding her fellow freshman for one of her three talies on the day.
JCC's other goals were netted by sophomores Juliet Thuman, who had a pair, as well as Haleigha Hardy scoring her first career goal, and Grace Gaurino also finished with her first career goal and four assists.
The win moved JCC to 1-3 on the year.
The Jayhawks are back on the field Thursday when they visit Gannon University.
