Jayhawks Shutdown the Panthers

DRYDEN - It was a big bounce-back game for the Jamestown Community College men's soccer team, downing host Tompkins Cortland Community College, 2-0 in region action.

 

The Jayhawks (2-5, 0-2 WNYAC) got the party started halfway through the first half of action with freshman midfielder Tshepiso Ntuli (Pertoria, Gauteng, South Africa/Pretoria Boys HS) finding the back of the net in the 25th minute of action.

 

JCC continued to apply the pressure on the Panthers with freshman forward Tholo Malebo (Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa/Crawford International-Lonehill) getting in the scoring column with a goal in the 54th minute of play.

 

The Jayhawks' defense held TC3 to five shot attempts with only two on goal.

 

Freshman goalkeeper Bryan Anderson (Ashville, NY/Chautauqua Lake Central) earned the win in net, making two saves on two attempts.

 

The Jayhawks will have a day off before traveling out west to Lorain County Community College on Monday, September 27th, at 4 p.m.
