JAMESTOWN – Looking to continue their hot play, the Jamestown Community College men's soccer team took down SUNY Broome Community College Saturday afternoon, 4-1.

The Jayhawks (7-5, 0-2 WNYAC) found themselves in a quick 1-0 deficit five minutes into the game. The team kept grinding during the first half and tied the game as freshman midfielder Tshepiso Ntuli (Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa/Pretoria Boys HS) got in the scoring column in the 42nd minute.

JCC came out of intermission firing as freshman defender George Glover (Leeds, England/Allerton Grange School) put the Jayhawks up 2-1 as sophomore forward Jesse da Costa (Perth, Western Australia/SEDA) set him up nicely in the 47th minute.

The Jayhawks found the net two more times over a three minute span as da Costa found freshman forward Louis Hurst (Blackpool, England/Cardinal Newman College) to make it 3-1 in the 50th minute. The last goal came in the 53rd minute as da Costa got in the scoring column himself this time.

Freshman goalkeeper Bryan Anderson (Ashville, NY/Chautauqua Lake Central) earned the win in net, making three saves on four shots faced.

The Jayhawks will be back in action this Wednesday, October 13th, as they host No. 2 Genesee Community College at 4 p.m.
