Busy Weekend Ahead for Jayhawks' Athletics

JAMESTOWN, NY - Jamestown Community College (JCC) is preparing for one of its busiest weekends in recent memory as the men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, baseball, men's cross country, and women's cross country teams are all in action on Saturday, and the soccer teams continue to play on Sunday.

The men's and women's soccer teams are the only ones of the bunch that will be at home for their contests.

JCC welcomes Jefferson Community College in soccer on Saturday, with Onondaga Community College (OCC) visiting the nest on Sunday.

For the men, the games begin at 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM, respectively. This is the opening of Region 3 play for the guys.

On the ladies' side, their games will be at 3:30 PM and 1:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. These two contests not only open Region 3 play for them but are also the official start to their 2024 schedule.

Flipping to volleyball, it's a drive up to Onondaga on Saturday for the Jayhawks, where they will take on Genesee Community College at 1:00 PM and the homestanding Lakers at 3:00 PM as part of the OCC POD.

Saturday also marks the beginning of the cross country season, with both the men and women taking part in the Doug Watts Open held in Edinboro, PA.

Lastly, fall ball is starting up for the baseball team. Jamestown will play host to Team Bullettproof with a 1:00 PM first pitch.
