Lothian, Fodder, Swan Earn WNYAC 2025-26 Special Awards

BUFFALO, NY - Jamestown Community College (JCC) athletics placed three students on the Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) 2025-26 Special Awards list. 

Roxanne Lothian was named the Co-Female Freshman Athlete of the Year after a dominant season in the water and the classroom. The freshman carried a 4.0 GPA while earning Region 3 Swimmer of the Year after winning all eight of her events. She then went on to anchor the JCC national championship swimming and diving team, capturing eight All-American honors while setting four new Jamestown records.

The Jayhawks also captured the Male and Female Academic Athlete of the Year honors, with Federico Foddai of the basketball team and Emily Swan of the swimming and diving squad capturing the accolades.

On the men's side, Foddai is a two-year starter for the JCC men's basketball team, where he earned All-Region accolades for Jamestown. In the classroom, Foddai was flawless, earning a 4.0 through his 63 credits. The Italian challenged himself in the spring semesters, taking 19 credits in 2025 and 18 credits in 2026 to earn the JCC scholar sophomore award. 

For the women, Swan is a 16-time all-American swimmer for the JCC national championship swim team. She did this while earning a 4.0 in the Jayhawks' grueling nursing program. Swan earned 62 credits at JCC to receive the JCC scholar sophomore award.
