Title: Head Coach, Jayhawks Hockey

Jamestown Community College (JCC) named Tommy Gerace head coach of the Jayhawk hockey team in 2023.

Gerace's impact on hockey in Jamestown is much greater than just his time behind the bench at JCC.

Tommy is not only the head coach of the inaugural season and beyond, but he was the mastermind behind getting ice hockey launched as a club sport at JCC.

Gerace has been active in the sport of hockey since he was five years old.

Before he donned the green and gold, he made three appearances at the New York State AAU Mixed Division Championship in his playing career and one in his coaching career.

While coaching the Jamestown High School (JHS) ice hockey team, Gerace won a varsity New York State Championship in 2018.

He then took JHS to the WNY Club Hockey League to a championship victory in 2020 as head coach.

Tommy has also coached at various levels within the Jamestown Lakers organization of the Chautauqua County Youth Hockey Association from the years 2019-2024.

Gerace has hockey business connections from his time working as the director of community relations/corporate & ticket sales for the Jamestown Rebels from 2018 to 2023.

When not on the ice, Gerace can be found working as a marketing executive for the Media One Radio Group or behind the Drum set.

Tommy’s father, Joe Gerace, an assistant coach for JCC hockey, was the Jamestown Police Department Sheriff from 1995 to 2018.
